Itinerary

 

DAY 1                                                       

 

Meet in Florence                            Dinner

​

We meet in this beautiful romantic city. We will proceed to our hotel to settle in. Once checked in and rested, we will take a leisurely walk to view some of the most famous and ancient icons in Florence – Palazzo Pitti, Ponto Vecchio, Galleria Degli Uffizi, Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio, Loggia dei Lanzi, Fontana del Porcellino, Mercato del Porcellino 

and get a layout of the land. Later in the afternoon we will enjoy as summer sun sets along the river Arno, a refreshing and tasty aperitivo overlooking Ponto Vecchio, then stroll through the city streets on our way back to the Classic Hotel.

DAY 2                                                       

 

Florence                         Breakfast / Lunch

​

Wake up, enjoy a continental breakfast at the villa and join us for a morning walk along one of the most beautiful roads in Florence, Viale Machiavelli. Rising into the lush green hills behind the Classic Hotel, this scenic 3km walk winds it’s way past traditional beautiful villa’s and parklands to the spectacular Piazzale Michelangelo.

​

​Coffee at the crest of the hill will be with one of the most panoramic vistas in all of Florence. Returning to the Classic to then get ready for more sightseeing and lunch in a hidden treasure location. We will go the Duomo - Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore,  Piazza del Duomo, Fiascateria Nuovoli, and Mercato Centrale.

 

Then take the rest of the day to make Florence your own – do anything your heart desires. See our full “playlist” of things to do and customise your afternnon to be as busy or as relaxing as you like.  Choice to visit (Galleria dell’Accadmia, Palazzo Pitti, Boboli Gardens)

 

 

DAY 3                                                

 

Florence – Cinque Terre          Breakfast / Dinner

​We are now set of for a wonderful 4 day adventure starting with the World Heritage listed Cinque Terre National Park. A day of spectacular vistas and towns. We will visit beautiful Portovenere for lunch before driving over the hills to the colourful and iconic Cinque Terre town of Riomaggiore.

​

Settle into the quaint accommodation that this town is renowned for, and then meet at Kiki’s Cliffside bar. The panoramic views of the Mediterranean are unforgettable. Enjoy the Romantic Seaside on Via dell’Amore  (Path of Love) @1hr round trip

Relax as we drift to the waterside dinner at Enoteca Dau Cila. After enjoying a heavenly meal, your hotel is only metres away, or continue to enjoy the Mediterranean moonlit night air.

DAY 4                                                   

 

​Cinque Terre                             Breakfast

​

Today is the day for the stunning, world famous Cinque Terre coastal towns. We plan to take a train to Vernazza and after a town visit, walk/hike to Monterosso. About 3..5 km, 1.5 hours. You may also choose to catch the train again to Monterooso and enjoy the beach a little longer.  

Later in the afternoon we board a boat to cruise back up the blue Mediterranean waters to Riomaggiore. This is a great opportunity to photograph the iconic cliff-clinging towns from a distance on the water. Then the rest of the summer evening is yours to enjoy in any way you choose.

DAY 5                                                     

Cinque Terre – Lucca                     Breakfast

​

​After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy scenic drive to Lucca.. A beautiful city on the Serchio river. Known for its beautiful well-preserved Renaissance walls encircling this historic city center and its cobblestone streets. Also la Casa di Puccini, where the great opera composer was born. The real reason we are here is to enoy an intimate concert with Norah Jones in Piazza Napoleone. An amazing experience never to be forgotten.

DAY 6                                                     

 

​Lucca                                     Breakfast

​

​Enjoy a relaxing morning then we drive to the ancient moat walled town of Lucca. Take a historic walking tour inside the city walls or explore the vast array of quaint air conditioned shops. Lucca is a fascinating mix of ultra/modern retail and centuries/old family artisans where you are sure to make some great finds. Or forgo the shopping and enjoy a refreshing Granita in any of the many cafe's surrounding the beautiful Piazza Anfiteatro.

Or explore by walking or biking the 16th century walls. Visit one or all of the hundred and one Churches. Visit the Roman Amphitheatre,the Guinigi Tower. Pizza Napoleone, Palazzo Mansi and Buccellato.  So much to see and take in

 

DAY 7                                                      

 

Lucca - Florence                         Breakfast

​

​Lets enjoy breakfast, check out and head back to Florence. A little pit stop at a wonderful shopping mall.  Barberino Designer Outlet. This shopping village is located in a suburban area and it looks like a small town with many "houses" side by side. Among the advantages is the high concentration of stores of major brands in a limited area. We will find Italian and international famous brands such as Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Cavalli, Patrizia Pepe, Michael Kors, Pinko, Furla, but many international ones such as Guess, Twin Set, Desigual, Hugo Boss, Nike and Adidas, to name a few among the best known.

Exhausted shoppers can then relax as we head back to our hotel in Florence to end the day

 

​DAY 8                                                    

​Tuscany                                  Breakfast

​

A full spectacular day in Tuscany. We tour the picturesque hills, vineyards and stunningly beautiful historic living ancient towns of San Gimignano, Monteriggioni & Siena. Experience history walking amidst the architecture, customs and culture of these amazing places. There is so much richness to take in that this is truly a day to remember forever.  ​

 

DAY 9                                                     

Florence                                  Breakfast

​

​Today is a full day to enjoy Florence and the Tuscan region in exactly the way you choose. Would you love a cooking class to help recreate Tuscan dishes at home? A Vespa tour through the Tuscan hills? Or like to create your own signature scent at a Florentine perfumery? Maybe a water colour art class to capture the beauty of your holiday?

DAY 10                                               

Florence                          Breakfast / Lunch

Casually start your day with breakfast at the hotel before we set off into the Tuscan Hills to Verrazzano Castle – one of the most charming historic buildings in Tuscany and located in the heart of Chiantishire. This picture-perfect vineyard hosts lunch for us today along with a memorable tour of the winery which dates back to the 7th century. Sample and/or purchase regional produce from the winery, or simply breathe in the stunning scenery.

Our time together comes to end where we started. Beautiful Florence. Final morning walk to Piazza Michelangelo to say farewell
