Typical Itinerary
DAY 1
Meet in Rome Dinner
We meet at the beautiful, centrally located Hotel to welcome you to Rome. Once checked in and rested, we will take a leisurely walk to view some of the most famous and ancient icons in Rome- including The Victor Emanuel II Monument and The Forum. Enjoy a tasty evening aperitivo overlooking the Colosseum, then stroll via the illuminated Forum ruins after dark.

DAY 2
Rome Breakfast / Lunch
This is an amazing day full of the best sights in Rome. Starting with the famed Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain, we’ll take you in to view the ancient grandeur of the Pantheon. Next, enjoy the best coffee in Rome at the world famous Saint Eustachio. Then we’ll stroll the beautiful fountains and classic architecture of The Piazza Navona before lunching like the locals at our special secret Cucina.

DAY 3
Rome – Florence Breakfast / Lunch
After a breakfast at your hotel, we set off into the green countryside beyond Rome on our way to Florence. An amazing array of Medieval villages dot the hillsides along the drive. The Classic Hotel in Florence awaits you – it is the epitome of Italian Villa style accommodation. Set in an elegant tree-lined street, it is a quick and easy stroll to the amazing and ancient bridges leading into central Florence.
Lunch is at a traditional Fiaschetteria Toscana- deliciously regional cuisine. Then take the rest of the day to explore all of Florence -shops, cafes, museums, art and architecture – everything is right here for you to enjoy. Dine late into the evening at any of the many restaurants which are all within easy, level walking distance back to the Classic Hotel.
DAY 4
Florence Breakfast / Dinner
Wake up and join us for a morning walk along one of the most beautiful Via’s in Florence. Rising into the lush green hills behind the Classic Hotel, this scenic 3klm return walk winds it’s way past traditional villa estates and parklands to the spectacular Piazzale Michelangelo.
Coffee at the crest of the hill will include one of the most panoramic vistas of all Florence. Then take the rest of the day to make Florence your own – do anything you like! See our full “playlist” of things to do, and customise your day to be as busy or as relaxing as you like. Then join us as the summer sun sets along the river Arno for a refreshing and tasty aperitivo.

DAY 5
Florence Breakfast / Lunch
Casually start your day with breakfast at the hotel before we set off into the Tuscan Hills to Verrazzano Castle – one of the most charming historic buildings in Tuscany and located in the heart of Chiantishire. This picture-perfect vineyard hosts lunch for us today along with a memorable tour of the winery which dates back to the 7th century. Sample and/or purchase regional produce from the winery, or simply breathe in the stunning scenery.
DAY 6
Florence – Cinque Terre Breakfast / Dinner
​With our “weekend bags” we set off for a 2 day adventure to the World Heritage listed Cinque Terre National Park. A day of spectacular vistas and towns, we visit beautiful Portovenere for lunch before driving over the hills to the colourful and iconic Cinque Terre town of Riomaggiore.
Settle in to the quaint accommodation that this town is renowned for, and then meet at Kiki’s Cliffside bar. The panoramic views of the Mediterranean are unforgettable.
Relax as we drift to the waterside dinner at Enoteca Dau Cila. After enjoying a heavenly meal, your hotel is only metres away, or continue to enjoy the Mediterranean moonlit night air.
DAY 7
Cinque Terre Breakfast
Today is the day for the stunning, world famous Cinque Terre coastal town walk. After breakfast we set off on the trail along the Lovers Path to Manarolo. From there, choose your own journey by foot or train through one or all of the remaining picturesque towns to rejoin us at Monterosso.
From there we board a boat to cruise back up the blue Mediterranean waters to Riomaggiore. This is a great opportunity to photograph the iconic cliff-clinging towns from a distance on the water. Then the rest of the summer evening is yours to enjoy in any way you like.
DAY 8
Cinque Terre – Florence Breakfast / Dinner
​After a leisurely breakfast and scenic drive back to your base at the Classic Hotel in Florence, the afternoon is yours to enjoy. Tour Palazzo Pitti or view Michelangelo’s David at the Galleria del Accademia, maybe relax in The Boboli Gardens – all are within easy walking distance. Be sure to check Tuscan Holidays “playlist” for full range of things to do, see and explore. Meet at the Classic Hotel to join us for authentic Pizza dinner in the hills of Tuscany.
DAY 9
Tuscany Breakfast
​A full spectacular day in Tuscany. We tour the picturesque hills, vineyards and stunningly beautiful historic living ancient towns of San Gimignano, Monteriggioni & Siena. Experience history walking amidst the architecture, customs and culture of these amazing places. There is so much richness to take in that this is truly a day to remember forever.
DAY 10
Lucca Breakfast
Enjoy a relaxing morning then we drive to the ancient moat walled town of Lucca. Take a historic walking tour inside the city walls or explore the vast array of quaint air conditioned shops. Lucca is a fascinating mix of ultra/modern retail and centuries/old family artisans where you are sure to make some great finds. Or forgo the shopping and enjoy a refreshing Granita in any of the many cafe's surrounding the beautiful Piazza Anfiteatro.

DAY 11
Florence Breakfast
Today is a full day to enjoy Florence and the Tuscan region in exactly the way you choose. Would you love a cooking class to help recreate Tuscan dishes at home? A Vespa tour through the Tuscan hills? Or like to create your own signature scent at a Florentine perfumery? Maybe a water colour art class to capture the beauty of your holiday?

DAY 12
Florence - Rome Breakfast / Dinner
Say goodbye to the lovely Classic Hotel & Florence as we return to Rome. Check in to the picture-perfect Boutique Hotel Campo de Fiori in the very heart of ancient Rome. Our final dinner together is at a quintessential Italian Ristorante in a cobblestone laneway, walking distance to your hotel.
Feel free to stroll the beautiful Campo de Fiori piazza after dinner, enjoying the lovely summer night air. Affogatto? Gelato? It is all right at your doorstep.
